Michael L. DeYoung, Of Counsel

We are very pleased to announce the formation of a new alliance with Michael DeYoung.  Mr. DeYoung will operate his firm out of the Willison Hellman offices, and be available to assist us on many of our Estate Planning and Litigation files.  In addition, Mr. DeYoung will serve as a consultant in the formation of our new Bankruptcy practice.  

Mr. DeYoung graduated from Calvin College with a B.A. in Business Management and received his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While attending Cooley, he was on the Dean’s List and Honor Roll and also received a Certificate of Merit for Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Mr. DeYoung primarily focuses his practice on bankruptcy.  However, he has successfully represented clients in jury trials in both civil and criminal matters.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. DeYoung worked as a paramedic for 15 years and brings extensive medical knowledge to liability cases.

He has also served the community as a mentor in Kids Hope USA, is an active member of his church, and a member of the NRA.
